OUR FUTURE IS DETERMINED BY OUR ACTIONS OF TODAY: Do not lose the value of the moment whilst foolishly focusing on tomorrow.
Most of us are busy chasing after tomorrow whilst disregarding today. Tomorrow is like a seed and we have to understand that inorder to preserve our future, there are certain actions that we have to be willing to do TODAY. Remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5 vs 27-28)? In order for her to preserve her future she had to be willing to crawl and touch the garment of Jesus (at that moment). Her journey started from behind the crowd. She was behind but she was not discouraged by her placement. She was confronted with a crowd of people who were all trying to get to the same Jesus she wanted to get to. The traditions of this woman’s society required a woman with an issue of blood to stay indoors because she was ‘unclean’. After waiting for twelve years and hiding in the shadows, using all her money on doctors, she probably said to herself, ‘enough is enough. I am tired of pain and shame.’ She set her own agenda for change and began a process that totally transformed her life. We all may be having a lot of issues that we are facing TODAY which may be a hinderance to our future but let us ask God to give us the courage to pay attention to the moment and face our problems in the presence of God so that He can preserve our FUTURE. There are several issue’s that may be affecting us, issues of hatred, confusion, addiction, rejection, frustration, jealous, pride, selfishness, and so much more, But what we have to understand is that to preserve our future we have to first be willing to get rid of the issues hindering our TODAY. We have to understand that whist we choose to remain stuck in our current issues, we are potentially threatening our future.
Although this woman with the issue of blood was weak in strength, because when you bleed you become anaemic, lack of oxygen, She did not make excuses. Our Issues need to be dealt with is a heist for the benefit of our FUTURE. Alone we can not do it ,let us seek enlightenment from God in His presence through prayer and meditation of the word.
She preserved her future by overcoming:
1. Long-term disappointment
2. Physical weakness
3. Personal embarrassment
4. Society’s rejection
5. Physical barriers: the crowd of people 
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to press through all obstacles until I am in connection with your power.
