An elephant and a dog became pregnant at same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued.
On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, “Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?”.
The elephant replied, “There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.”.
Don’t lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers. Don’t be envious of others testimony. If you haven’t received your own blessings, don’t despair. Say to yourself “My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.”
I was going through my Facebook and stumbled upon this ?bittersweet farewell status for a loving stepmother which made me think for a minute! How many people in this planet particularly Tanzanians to be specific would have shared not exactly but at least similar status (“MY LOVING STEPMOTHER”) about their stepmothers or stepfathers? Mmh! Ask me nothing as I got nothing to say but tears to wipe for the rest of my life!!…….. What about you? Would you?

What Changed? Green Mile Safari, based in Abu Dhabi, was barred from Tanzania after videos emerged showing dozens of instances of wildlife crime called “shocking”, “horrific” and “abhorrent” by media. Now, they are not only being allowed back into the country but may be given a huge plot of conservation land to continue their behavior.

Na. M. M. Mwanakijiji Inawezekana hili jambo lilinipita; kwamba, vyama vya siasa vina vyuo na shule zake na sasa wanafunzi wake wanaanza kuhitimu. Nimesoma kuna mahafali sijui ya CCM mahali gani mengine ya Chadema sehemu nyingine, na labda kuna mahalafi ya ACT, CUF, UDP na vyama vingine.
Nisichoelewa ni kuwa hivi vyama vilianzisha vyuo au shule lini ambapo wanaosoma ni wanachama wao au watoto wa wanachama wao peke yao? Najua CCM iliwahi na bado ina baadhi ya shule za Wazazi, lakini sijajua kama ina vyuo vya wazazi vinavyotoa elimu ya juu. Na sina uhakika kama wazazi wa CHADEMA na wenyewe wana shule au vyuo vyao.
Hivi vyuo na shule za vyama vya siasa ambapo wanafunzi wake ni wanachama wa vyama hivyo tu – ndio hawa wanahitimu – ziko wapi na zinaongozwa vipi?
Ila kama ni shule na vyuo hivi hivi vinavyochukua watu wa kada, na mirengo mbalimbali ya kisiasa kwanini wanaosoma pamoja katika taifa; ni vipi tena kuna mahafali nje ya yale ambayo yanafanywa na shule au chuo kizima kwa wanafunzi wote? Siyo, kwamba tutafika mahali tutakuwa na kuhitimu JKT kwa mirengo ya vyama vya siasa?
Au hiki kinachoitwa “mahafali” kwa ufupi ni maigizo ya kuhitimu ya waliokwisha hitimu na wengine? Kwamba, hawa walishahitimu na kufanya mahafali na wanafunzi wengine ila ili wajione ni tofauti zaidi basi wameandaa mahafali ya kisiasa ambayo hayahusiani na elimu waliyoisoma?
Kama hili ni kweli, itakuwa vibaya nikisema kuwa huku ni kuchizika kwa taifa zima? Hivi wasomi wetu wameshindwa kuona falacy ya kiakili iliyoko kwenye mahafali yasiyo mahafali? Kama kinachofanywa ni sherehe za kuagana au tafrija tu ya watu wa chama fulani kwanini wayaite mahafali haya; kama siyo uchizi wa kisiasa (political insanity) iliyopitiliza tuite nini basi?
Wizara ya Elimu inaruhusu vipi kuwepo na mazingaombwe haya ambayo hata yanaelekea kugawa watu na kuleta migongano wala isiyo na ulazima. Mahafali yafanyike chuoni, au shuleni kwa wanafunzi wote wahitimu. Sherehe nyingine watu wafanye kama sherehe zao tu lakini wasijichanganye wenyewe kuwa ni sherehe nyingine za mahafali kwani hatari yake ni kuendekeza siasa mno hata mahali pasipostahili.
Futilia mbali mahafali ya CCM, ya CHADEMA, ya TLP na madudu mengine haya yanayoitwa “mahafali” ili kuondoa migongano mingine isiyo ya lazima. Wanaotaka kufanya sherehe zao wafanye sherehe zao lakini siyo kurudia mahafali vinginevyo utakuwa ni uchizi wa kitaifa.
Tunaanza kuendekeza mno siasa hadi mwisho tutakuwa na makanisa na misikiti ya kisiasa; masoko na maduka ya kisiasa; na mwisho wa siku tutakuwa “sisi” na “wao” kwenye mambo ya msingi na tutashangaa tumefika fika vipiKama kwenye shule na vyuo vyenu miaka yote ya elimu hamkubaguliwa kupata elimu; vipi kwenye kuhitimu mjibague.
Uchizi wa kisiasa huu. Labda mnieleweshe umuhimu wake saaaaaaana (kwa sauti ya Baba Mshamu).
During Solomon’s time, the common assumption was that men from “the East” and Egypt set the standard for wisdom. They were thought to possess a special kind of wisdom. Yet Solomon demonstrated a superior wisdom. A different kind of wisdom. Wisdom greater than any human wisdom.
The Bible indicates that he displayed three kinds of wisdom. First, he excelled in “proverbs.” This was very practical wisdom. These proverbs provide insights into how to live. How to make decisions and know what to do. But the Bible makes clear that these were not just clever sayings but inspired by his relationship with God.
Second, Solomon excelled in writing songs. These represent the heart. Emotions. Feelings. Here, we see the byproduct of Solomon as a musician, artist, and poet, and show us that God understands our hearts as well as our minds.
But Solomon also excelled at a kind of wisdom based in nature, creation, and science. He studied animals and birds, fish and plants. This investigation produced a degree of wisdom that was profound and far-reaching.
Solomon demonstrated just how diverse wisdom can be, and the many ways in which wisdom can be acquired, applied, and expressed.
Today, remember that, just as in Solomon’s time, the world is filled with people who are smart. Who have knowledge and intelligence, clever and crafty. But, just as He did with Solomon, God offers us much more: His wisdom. Practical wisdom. Poetic wisdom that touches our hearts. Wisdom about nature and creation.
In your life, don’t limit God. Let Him give you His wisdom, to guide you in every area of your life. Source: inspiration.org
This is a pic of me and my dad on my first birthday. It’s an interesting picture for me because he was there when I began my life but he didn’t make it to see how my life would unfold. He died when I was 9 from a heart attack at the age of 36. And this tragedy has shaped every aspect of my life. And on days like today, the older I get the more I’ve come to appreciate fathers day. Because even though my dad wasn’t around much because of his battle with alcoholism. He did help facilitate my life and for this I’m extremely grateful. I’ve learned to make peace with who he was in life and death. I wish every father, a #happyfathersday and if your dad is still around I encourage you to drop them a text or a call even if the relationship is strained.
